Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) Scheme Best Option for UK

I think the idea of an electronic visa waiver scheme, similar to the US electronic system which fast-tracks visitors from certain countries, would be the best option for Britain post-Brexit, both for EU citizens entering the UK and UK citizens entering EU states. This would let citizens visit for up to 6 months for tourism, business, study or medical treatment without needing a visa.

Excellent idea, an EU-UK agreement could attempt to go further without suffering from political arbitrage. Allowing all EU students to continue to study in the UK and granting them rights to remain in the UK for a certain amount of time after graduation could be achievable.

Tuition fees should also be kept at the previous level or even lower for the EU students regardless the depreciation in pounds. Also, there should be more support for the international students. The possible changes in student visa may affect all international students as Amber Rudd announced that “tougher rules” may apply to students enrolling in “lower quality courses” in an effort to reduce overall immigration numbers. This could cause a decline in the number of talented people coming into the U.K.
