When it comes to people crossing borders, EU citizens are able to use their personal biometric, digitalised data to transition between the UK and the EU. What will happen post-Brexit should agreements for greater border controls be set? It is difficult to see whether current EU citizen's data will be stored in the same way and if a change in the level of border security necessitates a migration of personal information from one system to another. If so, it is important that this process is transparent, so that citizens are aware of what data about them remains on either side of borders.
