DUP's faith is broken

The DUP is dissatisfied with the backstop terms in the Brexit Agreement. The Party warned that all of its 10 MP will vote against the plan. The DUP formed close tie with TM and is a backing force that keeps her in power. It's likely that the dynamics will change soon. If TM continues to lose more of her supporters, her plan will become a failure.

FYI: Under the proposal, Northern Ireland will have to align to some of EU's laws while the UK is free from them. This means that the goods imported to Northern Ireland will be inspected to see if they meet EU's standards. The discriminated treatment angered many Brexiteers who exclaim that the backstop plan undermines the integrity of the UK.

Do you think it's time for the opposition party to retain control of parliament?

I think it's time for the opposing parties to work together to reach a final deal instead of attacking each other... The opposing party would not make a difference if it doesn't get support from May and her party. They should focus on finalising the deal instead of arguing about leadership in this moment.

However, regarding Brexit policy, is any settlement or decision possible by Merkel's deadline?

Do you think it's at all possible to persuade the DUP to support this version of May's Brexit deal, or will she need to revise it so Northern Ireland leaves the EU with the rest of the UK entirely? May promised the DUP a hard Brexit, which she's so far been unable to deliver.

I don't think that May will be able to persuade the DUP to vote in favour of her Withdrawal proposal because it's a long way from what they voted for. However, she might be able to make the DUP abstain their votes this December so she can focus on other constituencies to lobby for her plan.

In the past, May signed an agreement to give Northern Ireland £1billion in a form of special funding to get their support in return. If the DUP votes against May's plan, they might lose their funding from Westminster.
But I guess they could use this as an opportunity to ask for more monetary compensation from May's party.
