If the Brexiteers had their way, UK would already have left the EU and we would not be voting today. This may be our last chance to vote FOR EUROPE. Please don't waste it. Vote SNP, LibDem, ChangeUK, or Green to show your support for REMAIN.

The revoke article 50 petition can be signed by EITHER British Citizens OR UK residents. That means that all those EU nationals (and other nationals) who are resident in the UK and couldn't vote in the referendum can make their voices heard now by signing the petition if they want to. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584 I had no idea that petitions were more inclusive than elections....

I am wondering what everyone thinks about the revoke article 50 petition that is getting a lot of discussion in the media? It says: The government repeatedly claims exiting the EU is 'the will of the people'. We need to put a stop to this claim by proving the strength of public support now, for remaining in the EU. A People's Vote may not happen - so vote now. I am not sure how much of a difference it will make BUT I did notice that there is no age limit specified on the petition. The...

I am really seriously starting to thing it will be a no deal Brexit.  May is running scared of the Brexiteers and she is going to take the whole country over the cliff as a result.

I haven't posted anything in a while (too depressed and fed up about the way things are going). But this image challenge really got me thinking. Sometimes it is easier to express difficult feelings with images than with words.  I really feel Brexit is just throwing away so much - our values (like respect for different opinions and ways of life and each other), our union (respect for Scotland, Ireland and Wales and their different circumstances), and our future (not only prosperity, but...

I finally tracked down a copy of the white paper and thought I would share a link in case anyone else wanted to read it. If you do read it (even a part of it) reply to this message to share your views.

My one message would be to May. So far, her government refuses to take Scottish views seriously. May should go to Edinburgh and have a serious conversation with Sturgeon. If she did that, and also listened to people in Northern Ireland, then maybe she would finally realise why it is so important for us to stay in the single market.

Peace and prosperity in Northern Ireland has to be the priority. No one wants to go back to the way things were before the Good Friday Agreement. To make sure that happens, there should be as few changes as possible to current border arrangements between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Now, grannnys and grandads can come to UK to live with their children & grandchildren. They can come to help with childcare, or because they are recently widowed, or just so they can live their last years together.  The Brexit deal needs to guarantee the rights of families (parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren) to live together. Freedom of movement based on family ties should be guaranteed by both U.K. & EU.

Whatever happens, the democratic choice of the Scottish people to remain a part of the EU should be respected.  If Greenland left the EU and Denmark stayed in the EU, then why can't England leave the UK and Scotland stay in the EU? Either that or we need an Indy2 Ref.
